Two distinct plan forms with different storey heights and spans under a thatched or tiled roof-scape reflecting established rural architecture. Carefully designed fenestration and a mixture of gable walls and hip roofs with dormer windows blend to create a distinctive cottage-style property. The sloping hip is an especially attractive feature of this cottage. The Lavenham has a large footprint with all rooms accessed off a large entrance hall and a galleried landing area, three bedrooms are set in the roof void and served by dormer windows, whilst the main bedroom has higher side wall heights with a window set in the gable wall. As with all our designs external finish is at the discretion of the customer, but lends itself to quality handmade or reclaimed materials.
