Re-introduces the essential character of idyllic cottages into new properties through an integrated design process. Bringing the past into the future. The Cavendish is a two or three bedroom property of immense character. The layout is based around a large chimney stack with adjacent related stair enclosure – a very traditional form. Dedicated circulation space is kept to a minimum. Features include: ingle-nook fireplace; double oak beams to ceiling and bay window forming breakfast area to farmhouse kitchen. Externally the property is dominated by steep pitched hipped thatched or tiled roof, with symmetrically placed eyebrow or catslide dormer windows. Bathroom light is via Velux roof windows. The Cavendish can be clad in any external material, but lends itself to a featureboard of render façade over a low brick plinth.
